A New Chapter for the Joy Home Tour
The 2026 Joy Home Tour marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter—one that honours the tour's rich legacy while embracing new opportunities to make an even greater impact.
Founded over 22 years ago by Karen Kamphuis, the Joy Home Tour quickly became a beloved community tradition. Karen led the planning and coordination of the event for its first 11 years, creating an experience that has inspired thousands of visitors and showcased the generosity and creativity of our community.
For the past decade, the Joy Home Tour has proudly served as a signature fundraising initiative for Hope House in Guelph, helping to support its important work and the individuals and families it serves.
In late 2025, Hope House made the decision to conclude the Joy Home Tour as part of its future fundraising strategy. This opened the door for meaningful conversations with Joy'n Us Events, resulting in the transition of the tour in early 2026. We are deeply honoured to carry this cherished event forward, preserving the tradition that so many have come to love while continuing its legacy of giving back.
As part of this exciting transition, the Joy Home Tour will now support three charitable organizations making a meaningful difference both locally and globally. Hope House will continue to receive one-third of the proceeds in recognition of its long-standing partnership with the tour. Joining them this year are Always With Love (AWL) and Women In Crisis (WIC)—two remarkable organizations dedicated to serving vulnerable individuals, restoring hope, and creating lasting change.
It is a privilege to use the Joy Home Tour as a platform to support these organizations and the life-changing work they do. Every ticket purchased, every home visited, and every partnership formed contributes to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
To everyone who has supported the Joy Home Tour over the past two decades—thank you. Your enthusiasm, generosity, and continued support have helped make this event a treasured holiday tradition.
